The Information of John Osborn< no role > Servant
to Mr. Rogers Master of the Ayles bury Waggon
Taken before me one of his Majestys of
the Peace in and for the said County City and
Liberty

Who being upon his Oath Saith that as he was this day
driving his Masters Waggon up Holborn Hill (being Just
then Leaded and sellingout for Aylesbury ) Two Persons now
Present and who call themselves Abraham Barnett< no role > and
Michael Hymes< no role > applyed to this Informant to ride in the
said Waggon which he then refused. This Informant proceeded
on hive Journey and was again accosted by the same two Persons
for leave to ride as aforesaid. this Informant told them that
if they would walk as far as Tyburn Turnpike they might Ride
on Paying the Usual Fare for so much of the Road they were
Going The said Barnell and Hymes accordingly walked a
little beyond Tyburn Turnpike when they Got up in the said
Waggon Bed had not Eode above three Quarters of a Mile when
Hymes pretended to her Sick and begged this Informant would
Stop his Waggon and let him got down for that he should be
Better if he Walked a little. This Informant accordingly Stopped
his Waggon and they both got down when this Informant
observed the Pocket of Hymes to Bulge out very much but
took no Notice of it till he Got to the Swan at Kensington
Gravel Pitts when Suspecting they had stole some thing out of
his Waggon this Informant told them that as they seemed
inclinable to walk the perceived they had some Luggage in their
Pockets he would put it into the Waggon and they might
Walk by the side of it They at first refused to deliver the Goods
out of their Pockets alledging they were Smugglers and did not
Chase to shew their Goods. But Hymes pulled out of his
pocket an Empty Canvass Bag and immediately after a
Paper Parcel which this Informant Sized and found it
Contained a Cake of Castile Soap and directed to Mr. Richard
Walford
< no role > of Afisbpry and that the said Soap was taken out of
a Flat in the said Waggon and that this Informant veryly
believes they have taken other Goods out of the said Waggon as
there are some other loose Papers in the Waggon.
