The Information of James Holt< no role > and Daniel Webb< no role >
taken on Oath before me one of his Majestys Justices
of the Peace in and for the said County the 25th. day of
July 1769

First The said James Holt< no role > Saith that last night about ten o'Clock
[..] he went to Sleep in the House of Mr Midwinter
at Hoxton a public House, and had six Shillings in his
Breeches Pocket, that when be awoke, he found his Breeches
Pocket cut and a piece thereof cut out and three Shillings taken
thereout, That he this Informt. found the said piece of his
Breeches and three Shillings in the Pocket of Thomas Edghill< no role > who
was then in the said Public House, And verily believes he
cut the said Pocket and took the said money thereout, And this
Informt.Saith Daniel Webb< no role > Saith that he being a Head borough
was charged by the said Holt with the said Edghill [..] for
the said Offence, & Searched him, & found the piece of the said
Holts pocket so cut out in the Pocket of said Edghill, And said
Edghill then confessed that he cut the said Holts pocket &
took the said money thereout
