An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London that is to say
at the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn in the Ward of Farringdon without in London aforesaid on the fifth day of July
in the thirtieth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord the Third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and
Ireland King Defender of the Faith Etc before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord the King
for the City of London and Borough of Southwark on view of the Body of Francis Gahagan< no role > now here lying
dead by the Oath of Thomas Palmer< no role > George Perrie< no role > [..] John Watts< no role > Levy Wayland William
Heather Edward< no role > Bar Griffin Thomas< no role > Lloyd Robert Morrill< no role > John Mansell< no role > Thomas Hadland< no role > Charles Dalton< no role >
John Lacy< no role > Godliffe Hemple Jamex Bullock John Lovejoy< no role > Samuel Street< no role > and Christopher Dowley< no role > good and lawful men of
the City of London aforesaid who being now here duly chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our said Lord the King
when how and in what manner the said Francis Gahagan< no role > came to his Death say upon their Oath that the
said Francis Gahagan on the third day of July in the year aforesaid being upon the landing place of the third pair
of Stairs in the Dwelling house of one Richard Brittain< no role > situate in Plough Court Fetter Lane in the Parish
and Ward aforesaid in London aforesaid and being intoxicated and Drunk with excessive drinking it so happened
that the said Francis Gahagan< no role > did then and there accidentally casually and by misfortune fall with great
force and violence from the said landing place down the said third pair of Stairs and to and upon the said Stairs
By means whereof he the said Francis Gahagan< no role > did then and there receive one Mortal hurt in and upon
the Head of him the said Francis Gahagan Of which said Mortal hurt he the said Francis Gahagan< no role > deced
then and there die And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do say that the said Francis Gahagan< no role >
in manner and by the means aforesaid casually and by misfortune was accidentally killed In Witness
whereof as well the said Coroner as the said Thomas Palmer< no role > the foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his fellows in their presence
have to this Inquisition set their hands and seals the day year and Place first above written.
