An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord King at the Parish of Saint Olave within
the Borough of Southwark in the County of Surrey on the second day of July in the thirtieth year of the reign
of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King
Defender of the Faith Etc. before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord the King for the City
of London and Borough of Southwark on view of the Body of William Lee< no role > now here lying dead by the Oath
of Abraham Winks< no role > John Winter< no role > Cornelius Wetherhall< no role > William Cook< no role > Benjamin [..] Hort< no role > John Ross< no role > Joseph Croft< no role >
Joseph Grimes< no role > Thomas Cave< no role > John White< no role > George Stilwell< no role > Arthur Pugsley< no role > and Charles Thomas< no role > [..] Nodder good
and lawful men of the Borough City of London aforesaid in the County aforesaid who being now here duly chosen sworn and charged to
inquire for our said Lord the King when how and in what manner the said William lee< no role > came to his death
say upon their Oath that the said William Lee< no role > on the first day of July in the Year aforesaid being walking
upon a certain Plank then lying partly upon a certain vessel called the Constance then being in the river
Thames and partly upon a certain other vessel called the Jane then also being in the said River Thames it so
happened that the said William Lee< no role > accidentally casually and by Misfortune fell from and off the said
Plank to and against the side of wee of the said vessels and into the mud and sand there By Means whereof he the said William Lee< no role > did then and there receive one mortal wound and
hurt in and upon the Head of him the said William Lee< no role > Of which said mortal wound and hurt he the
said William Lee< no role > did then and there instantly die And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid
do say that the said William Lee< no role > [..] manner and by the means aforesaid casually and by misfortune was
accidentally killed In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said Abraham Winks the
foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows in their presence have to this
Inquisition set their hands and Seals the day year and place first above written
