An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London that is to say at the
Parish of Saint Precinct of Whitefriars in the Ward of Farringdon without in London aforesaid on the
fifth day of July in the Thirtieth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of
great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith Etc before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman
Coroner of our said Lord the King for the City of London and Borough of Southwark on view of the Body of
William Cornett< no role > now here lying dead by the oath of John Boulton< no role > Richard Baker< no role > William Holton< no role >
John Russell< no role > Edmund Peck< no role > John Vass Thomas Hill< no role > Samuel Steenson< no role > John Bailey< no role > John Orby
Samuel Smith< no role > William Buckney< no role > Edward Forby< no role > Edward Brown< no role > and Thomas Cribben< no role > good and
lawful men of the City of London aforesaid who being now here duly chosen sworn and charged to inquire
for our said Lord the King when how and in what manner the said William Cornett< no role > came to his Death say
upon their Oath that the said William Cornett< no role > then lately before accidentally casually and by misfortune fell into
the river Thames and in and with the Water of the said River was suffocated and drowned Of which said
suffocation and drowning he the said William Cornett< no role > did then lately before die And so the Jurors
aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say that the said William Cornett in manner and by means
aforesaid accidentally casually and by Misfortune was suffocated and drowned In Witness whereof
as well the said Coroner as the said John Boulton< no role > the Foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself
and the rest of his Fellows in their presence have to this Inquisition set their hands and seals the day
year and place first above written
