known the deceased
Simon Hyam Levi for upwards of thirty
Years that he hath attended him in the Fleet
Prison
since Monday last that the deceased was very ill at that time
in Bed, that he complained very much of a violent pain in his
Stomach that he appeared as if in a Consumption that he
could not get out of his Bed without Deponent helping [..]
him that he continued to get worse it Yesterday
Morning the 13th instt. between the hours of Eleven and twelve
when he departed this Life that Deponent has no doubt
the aforesaid disorder was the cause of his Death

maketh Oath and saith that about a Week ago he was desired
to attend the deceased that he accordingly did attend him
on Sunday Morning the 2nd. August instt. that from his observation of the deceased he
appeared to be in a Consumption that he ordered such Medicines
as he thought were necessary and proper for such disorder that he
attended the deceased about three or four days when Doctor
Mayers was called in to attend himat the request of the
friends of the deceased; in consequence of which deponent did not
attend him any more that when Deponent left the deceased
he appeared to be somewhat better but Deponent did not think
he would recover
