An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King of London, that is to say, at the Parish of
Saint Botolph without Bishopsgate in the Ward of Bishopsgate without in London aforesaid on the twenty third day of July in the twenty ninth year
of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Parish Etc [..]
before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord the King for the City of London and Borough of Southwark on view of the Body of
Thomas Bew< no role > now here lying dead by the oath of William Bartholomew< no role > Thomas Eve William Wharton< no role > John Phillips< no role > Richard Brooks< no role >
Edward Tomkins< no role > Edward York< no role > William Abell< no role > James Dawson< no role > Thomas Stevenson< no role > Thomas Blissett< no role > Martin Smith< no role > Robert Sharwood< no role >
Charles Sadler< no role > John Chapman< no role > John Palmer< no role > Hugh Hughes< no role > and Joseph Bright good and lawful men of the City of London aforesaid
who being now here duly chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our said Lord the King when how and in what manner the said Thomas
Bew came to his death say upon their oath that the said Thomas Bew< no role > on the twenty first day of July in the twenty ninth year
aforesaid being upon the first flight of Steps of and belonging to the Dwellinghouse of him the said Thomas Bew situate in the Parish
and Ward aforesaid in London aforesaid and being then and there intoxicated and drunk with excessive drinking it so happened that the
said Thomas Bew accidentally casualty and by misfortune fell from and down the said first Night of sticks of the said Dwellinghouse of him
the said Thomas Bew< no role > to and against the Ground there And that by means thereof he the said Thomas Bew< no role > did then and there receive
one mortal wound and confusion in and upon the head of him and said Thomas Bew< no role > Of which said mortal would and confusion
he the said Thomas Bew< no role > did then and there instantly die And do the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do say that the said
Thomas Bew< no role > in manner and by the means aforesaid came to his death and not otherwise In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as
the said William Bartholomew< no role > the Foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Follows in their presence have
to this Inquisition set their hands and seals the day year and place first above written
