An Inquisition indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at the Parish of Saint John within the Borough
of Southwark in the County of Surrey on the twenty first day of November in the twenty ninth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith Etc before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman
Coroner of our said Lord the King for the City of London and Borough of Southwark on view of the Body of George Milner< no role > now here lying
dead by the oath of Benjamin Pursey< no role > , Richard Hill< no role > , David Key< no role > , Thomas Bouney, William Lard, John Burt< no role > , Joseph Lock< no role >
John Lloyd< no role > , William Weaterstone< no role > , James Clark< no role > , Richard Hillyer< no role > , Thomas Hudson< no role > and Jonac Fryatt good and lawful men of the
Borough of Southwark aforesaid in the said County of Surrey who being now here duly chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our said
Lord the King when how and in what manner the said George Milner< no role > came to his death say upon their oath that the said George
Milner on the eighteen the day of November in the twenty ninth year aforesaid being in and on board a certain Ship or Vessell called the
Amity lying on the River Thomas in the parish aforesaid within the Borough aforesaid in the County aforesaid and being then and
there getting down the side of the said Ship or Vessell into a certain Boat there by means of a certain Rope then and there fixed to the
side of the said Ship or Vessell it so happened that the said George Milner< no role > then and there accidentally casually and by misfortune
fell from the side of the said or Vessell into the said River Thomas and in and with the Waters of the said River was then and there
suffocated and drowned Of which said suffocation and drowning he the said George Milner< no role > did then and there die And so the Jurors
aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do say that the said George Milner< no role > in manner and by the means aforesaid then and there accidentally
casually and by misfortune was suffocated and drowned In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said Benjamin Pursey< no role > the
foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows in their presence have to this Inquisition set their hands and
seals the day year and place first above written.
