Investment of
Cash balance

Mr. Church Warden Hall acquainted the Gentlemen
Present that this Vestry was also held pursuant to
public notice given in the Church to consider in
what manner the Balance of the late Church Warden's
Account should be applied and on other affairs.

Ordered that the Account current of Mr. Robt.
Gosling late Church warden be read, and the same
was read accordingly, upon which it appeared that
the Balance due to the Parish was One Hundred
Eighty two pounds, six shillings and three pence.

Mr. Pope observed that it would soon be necessary
to expend a sum of Money for the repairs of the Church
and thought it requisite that the aforesaid Balance
or such part of it as this Vestry approved should be
set a part and applied for that purpose.

After some debate thereon Mr. Viner moved that
part of the Sum of £182..6..3 the Balance due to the
Parish upon the Audit of Mr. Gosling's account be
laid out in the purchase of Two Hundred Pounds
3 P Cent. Consolidated Bank Annuities in the Joint
Names of Mr. Stephen Hall< no role > , Mr. Charles Barry< no role > , Mr.
Peter Pope< no role > , and Mr. Thomas Hudson< no role > to remain as
a Fund for the intended Repairs of the Church and
being seconded the Question was put, and carried in
the Affirmative and the same was Ordered accordingly.
