declaring his intention of Resigning the Office of
Lecturer of this Parish at Christmas next.
Ordered that the said Letter be read, and the
same was read as follows.
Gentlemen As it is not in my Power
to discharge the Office of Lecturer at St. Dionis
Backchurch with that Punctuality and Attention
which both my Duty and Inclination require
I beg leave to inform you that I purpose resigning
that Appointment at Christmas next. In the mean
time I take the Liberty of expressing the grateful
Sence I entertain of the many Favours conferred
on me by the Parishioners during a Connexion
with them of almost Twenty six years, and of
tendering in return my most ardent Wishes for
their present and future Welfare I am Gentlemen

Mr. Church Warden Hankey Moved that
Tuesday next be appointed for the Election of a
Lecturer in the room of the Revd. Mr. Rhudde.
And after some debate, as to the Propriety of
defering the time of Election for a month longer
(Mr. Hankey's Motion being seconded) the Question
was put and Carried in the Affirmative
Ordered that Tuesday the 24th. day of Decr. Instant
at six o'Clock in the Evening of the same day be
appointed for the Election of a Lecturer of this
Parish in the room of the Revd. Mr. Rhudde
Then Mr. Church Warden Gosling adjourn'd the
Vestry to Tuesday next the 24th. day of December
at six o'Clock in the Evening.
