The Minutes of the last Vestries of the 1st. and 7th.
October 1784 read and confirmed.

This Vestry was held pursuant to public Notice
given in the Church for the annual Election of Parish
Officers and on other affairs.

Church Wardens

Mr. James Eley< no role > was put up to serve the office of
Upper Church Warden for the year ensuing and chose.

Mr. Edward Tutet< no role > was the first on the List for
Under Church Warden : but Mr. Viner express'd a doubt
whether Mr. John Dod< no role > , who was a senior Inhabitant to
Mr. Tutet, was not eligible to the office. And after some
Conversation, it was generally understood that Mr. Dod's
situation was the same as in the preceding year, and that
he did not reside in the Parish. Mr. Dod was therefore
pass'd over, and Mr. Tutet put up and Chose Under Church-
Warden for the year ensuing.

Collectors
Sidesmen

Mr. Joseph da Silva< no role > , being a Roman Catholic , was
pass'd over for the Offices of Collector and Sidesman.

Mr. John Iselton< no role > Junr . who stood next for the Offices
of Collector and Sidesman was pass'd over for one year.

Then Mr. John Tombs< no role > and Mr. Thomas Ridgeway< no role >
were severally put up and chose Collectors of the Poor's
rate and Sidesmen for the year ensuing.

Organist
Organ Tuner< no role >

Ordered that Miss Sarah Ormes be continued
Organist and Mr. Geo: Griffin Tuner and Cleaner of
the Organ.

Sexton
Bellows blower< no role >
Parish Warder

John Iselton< no role > was then put up and chose Sexton,
Bellows blower and Parish Warder, and It was ordered
that Ten Guineas be given to him as a Gratuity over and
above his salary for his service dining the past year.

Parish Clerk

Ordered that a Sum not exceeding Thirty one Pounds
ten shillings be paid to Mr. John Winter< no role > Oswin Parish< no role > Clerk
for one year ending at Lady day last as a Gratuity upon
the usual Condition of his not collecting Money from the
Parishioners.

Engine Keeper

John Iselton< no role > was put up and Chose Keeper
