Fire Rewards
Mr. Rutt then Moved, That this Parish do offer
the following Rewards as Encouragement for
Bringing Fire Ladders on the first breaking out of
a Fire at any House in this Parish, Viz,
"For bringing the Ladders and fixing the same to
the Windows of the House on Fire, that any Person
may escape, Ten shillings."
"And For every Person that shall escape by such
"Ladder being brought and fixed, either Man, Woman,
"or Child, for each, Ten Shillings."
And being seconded by Mr. Maynard, the Question
was put and carried in the Affirmative, And It was
Ordered accordingly.
Ordered that the above Rewards do not extend
to Chimnies on Fire.
