with the Church Wardens be empowered to treat and
agree with the Alderman and Common Council of
Langbourn Ward for the Annual Rent of the Church
Porch used as a Watchhouse, And being seconded by
Mr. Allen the Question was put and Carried in the
Affirmative, And It was Ordered accordingly.

Increase of Rates

Perambulation of
Bounds

Some Complaint being made of the Increase of Parish
Rates and Expenses, the same were taken into Consideration
and it seem'd to be the opinion of the Gentlemen present
that the Expence attending the annual Perambulation
on Ascension day should be reduced, And after some
debate thereon, Mr. Viner made a Motion That no
Ribons be given on Ascension day except to the Boys
that go in Procession, And being seconded by Mr.
Ridgeway, the Question was put, and Carried in the
Affirmative And It was Ordered accordingly.

Dinner on
Ascension Day}

Mr. Viner then Moved that all the Inhabitants
of this Parish be invited to Dinner on next Ascension
day, and that those who have not passed the Chair and
accepted the Invitation should pay five shillings
each to be collected a week preceding Ascension day
Which being seconded by Mr. Tutet, the Question was
put and Carried in the Affirmative And It was Ordered
accordingly.

Mr. Allen then Moved that the Inhabitants who
have passed the Chair and accepted the Invitation
to Dinner do also pay Two Shillings and Six pence each
to be collected as aforesaid, And being seconded by Mr.
Lutwyche the Question was put and Carried in the
Affirmative, And It was Ordered accordingly.

Discontinuance
of Annual Suppers

Then Mr. Maynard moved That after this present
Evening the Suppers that were annually given at the
Parish Expence be discontinued, And being seconded
the Question was put and Carried in the Affirmative
And It was Ordered accordingly.

Minutes of
Parish Workhouse

Then the Minutes were read of the Proceedings
of the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor at
the Parish Workhouse at Hoxton during the past
Year. After which Mr. Tutet moved That the Thanks
of this Vestry be given to Mr. Church Warden Rutt for
