Fire Engine
Mr.
John Cooper< no role >
Engineer made a Report that the small
Engine was in want of Repair, the bottom part being rotten: and
the Succion Pipe did not draw well, that he had applied to Messrs.
Bristow and Co. concerning the Expence, which would be about
Nine Pounds to repair the whole.
Mr. Goodall from Messrs. Bristow being in waiting was
call'd in and Confirm'd what Mr. Cooper had said both with
regard to the want of Repair of the said Engine and the Expence
thereof. A Motion was then made that a Sum not exceeding
Ten Pounds be allowed for Repairing the small Engine, and
being Seconded, it was unanimously agreed to, and Ordered to
be done.
Church Gates
and Doors}
Mr. Newton then Aserv'd that the Gates and Doors
round the Outside of the Church were out of Repair and
wanted Painting. It was therefore ordered that the same be
put in Repair, Upon the Motion of Mr. Pope.
