Precinct Meeting

At a Meeting of the Inhabitants of the North
and South Precincts of this parish held the 15th day of
December 1763 .

Mr Church Warden William Kippax< no role > acquainted the
Gentlemen present That this precinct Meeting was Summoned
pursuant to publick Notice given in the Church for the Choice
of Ward Officers for the year ensuing vizt Constables Scavengers
and Inquest Men

And Mr Joseph Spackman< no role > being first in Nomination was
put up to Serve the Offices of Constable Scavenger and Inquest
Man for the Year ensuing and chose, but Mr Spackman
desiring to be admitted to Fine

It was thereupon Moved that Mr Spackman be Excused
from Serving the said Offices on paying the Fine of Fourteen
pounds, And the Question being put on the said Motion it passed
in the Affirmative

Ordered that Mr Joseph Spackman< no role > be Excused from
Serving the Offices of Constable Scavenger and Inquest Man
on paying the Fine of Fourteen pounds

Then Mr Edward Treadway< no role > being next in Nomination
was put up to Serve the Offices of Constable Scavenger and
Inquest Man in the room of Mr Spackman

But Mr Treadway Alledging in Excuse that he was not
Eligible to Serve being a Deputy Coat Meeter It was after
some Debate Moved by Mr Henry Newton< no role > that Mr Treadway
be excused for one Year until the Merits of his Case be
Inquired into, and being Seconded the Question was put and
carryed in the Affirmative

Then Mr John Moggridge< no role > being next in Nomination was
