Surveyor to give
orders for Locks.Ordered that the Surveyor do give directions for putting Locks upon the
Doors of the Solitary Cells in the Women's Prison and that both Prisons be
scraped and Lime whitened under his direction

Prisrs.The Chaplain stated to the Committee the difficulties which had been
experienced in making any sort of Provision for those Female Prisoners who shew'd
a disposition to reform, and who had been permitted, agreeably to an Order of a
Committee of reference dated November 5th. 1793, to continue in the House after
the Expiration of the time of their Commitment, and expressed his desire that
the Committee would adopt some made of providing for them in future.
Resolved that the Chaplain be desired to recommend such Objects as he
shall think deserving, and that the Committee will take such Measures as the
Particular occasion may require./.
