Surveyor to prepare
Plan respecting Men's
Prison.Resolved that the Surveyor do prepare a plan and estimate for a
Building in that part of the Hospital intended for a Mens Prison in
such manner as in his Judgment will best carry into effect the original
intention of the Governors And that he do consider whether it may not be better
to fill up or omit the Basement Story and include in the plan the space of
Ground belonging to the Hospital on the West side of the Building

Snugg's Business
farther ConsideredThe Committee resumed the further consideration of the Letter from Mr.
Snuggs addressed to the General Court and referred to the Committee, and
being met to consider what measures should be taken respecting the Contractor
for the repairs and his Securities

Mr. Snuggs the Contractor and Mr. Biggs one of the Securities attended the
other being ill/also Mr. Madock their Solicitor and requested the business
might be postponed till the Committee on the 13th. of January when
they would deliver in writing their determination to submit some proposi [..]
to the Committee, or to defend any Suit which the Hospital might institute
against them to which the Committee agreed.

Took into consideration the resolution of the General Court empowering
this Committee to distribute £50 towards the relief of the Workmen who
were hurt by the falling of the Prison and the relations of those who
had the misfortune to lose their lives by that accident and having
examined their respective cases,

by Court.Resolved that it be distributed in the following proportions-Vizt.
