divers Years ago he was hired & lived as ahired servant by the
Year by & with James Fortune< no role > of Lower Eastsmithfield
in the Parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate in the Said
County Taylor at Certain Wages & Continued in Such Service
for the Space of a year & upwards That this Deponent has
not Since lived as a hired servant for a year elsewhere or
rented a house of Ten pounds a year or upwards or Served
any Parish office or paid any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes
or done any Act to gain a Settlement Since Such his
Servitude as aforesaid
