Elizabeth Smith< no role > the wife of Joseph Smith< no role >
maketh oath that Ann Page< no role > lately deced was hired & lived
as ahired servant by the year at Certain Wages by & with
this Deponent & her Said husband in the Parish of Saint
Botolph without Aldgate in the Sd County & Continued
in Such Service for the Space of two Years & upwards
& by means thereof gained a legal Settlement there & did
not afterwards do any Act to gain another Settlement
That during Such her Servitude She the Said Ann Page< no role >
was delivered of a Female Child in this Deponents house
in the Said Parish which has been Since baptized and
registred by the name of Ann Page< no role > & this Deponent is
induced to believe that Such Child is a Bastard by reason
the Said Ann Page< no role > was never married to the knowledge
information or belief of this Deponent

absent from her maketh oath that her said husband has informed
her & which She believes to be true that divers Years ago he was
hired & lived as ahired servant by the year at Certain Wages by and
with Joshua Harte< no role > of the Parish of St. Botolph without Aldgate
in the Sd County Grocer & Continued in Such Service there for three
Years & by means thereof gained a legal Settlement there That he
did not afterwards to this Deponts knowledge information or
belief live as a hired servant for a year elsewhere or rent a house
of Ten pounds a year or upwards or Serve any Parish office or
Pay any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes or do any Act to gain another Settlement
That She hath three Children namely Margaret < no role > aged about
