Mary Carpenter< no role > singlewoman Maketh oath that
divers years ago she was bound Apprentice by Indre to one Hill
a Breeches maker of Long Lane near West Smithfield in the parish
of St. Bartholomew the Great in the City of London
for the Term of Seven years & duly served three years & half of such
her apprenticeship in the Said Parish at Which time her Master
died there and by means thereof as she is advised she gained a legal
settlement there That she this Deponent never lived as a hired
servant for a year nor was ever married Nor to her knowledge or
belief hath she done any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement
