Margaret Cooke< no role > the widow of William Cooke< no role > deced maketh
oath That she has been informed by her Said late husband (and
which information this Depont. believes to be true) That her [..]
late husband divers years ago and before his Marriage with
this Depont. & when a Singleman was hired and lived as a hired
Servant for the Space of a year at Certain Wages with one
Mr Adstone in Green Street in the Parish of St Martin in the
Fields in the County of Middlesex Taylor and by means thereof
as she is advised gained a legal Settlement there And this
Depont. Saith That to her knowledge information or belief
her said husband did not after his leaving the Sd Mr Adstone
live as a hired Servant for a year in any other Service Nor e [..]
rent a house of the yearly Rent or Value of Ten Pounds No [..]
Serve any Parish office nor norpay any Poors Rates or Kings
Taxes or do any Act to gain a Settlement subsequent to his
Servitude as abovementioned And that she this Depont. since
her Said husbands Death hath not done any Act to her knowledge
or belief to gain a Settlement in her own right And this
Depont. farther Saith That She hath two Children namely
John< no role > aged about Ten years and Edward< no role > Aged about Eighteen
