Continued Friday Novr.. 29th.. 1799 .

Mr. Peter Alavoine< no role > Steward of that Hospital, as a Mark
of the Governors approbation of his conduct, and a reward
for his economy, care attention and fidelity in the
execution of that Office.

Also that Gratuity of £50 be paid to Mr. John Haslam< no role > ,
the Apothecary to these Hospitals, as mark of the
Governors approbation of his conduct, and a reward for
his able, diligent and conscientious discharge of his duty
in that Office.

And had Ordered different Tradesmen's and Workmens
Bills to be paid, amounting to £1505..6.

The Court then proceeded to take into consideration the
Report from the House Committee respecting Artsmasters
and Apprentices, and,

Resolved that Roger Owen< no role > and Robert Smart< no role > , both
Engine Weavers , are Officers competent for the purposes of the
Charity, and proper to be continued in the Hospital, and that
Thomas Reynolds< no role > , John Sanders< no role > , John Harris< no role > , Thomas Couling< no role > ,
and George Sanderson< no role > , are not now competent Officers for those
purposes.

Book Binder
Man's Shoemaker
Woman's Do.
To be introduced.


Resolved that it will be proper to introduce into this
Hospital, the Trades of a Printer, a Book Binder, a Man's
Shoemaker and a Womans Shoemaker.

A Motion was then made and Seconded;

Motion that a Working.
Silversmith be added
Referred to Committee.


"That it be referred to the House Committee to consider
"whether they should add the Trade of a Working
"Silversmith to those recommended by them in their Printed
"Report"

Which was carried in the Affirmative.

as to one Etc.


The Court considered the Offer of Roger Owen< no role > respecting the
two Young Men who were formerly Apprentices in this Hospital
and now in his employment; and the recommendation of the
House Committee for them to be elected Artsmasters; and do
agree with the said Committee, as to one of the said Young Men.
And Resolved that it be referred back to the said Committee to
reconsider
