or by the insertion of his Name in a Book to be
called the Black Book.

That the Names of Apprentices who shall have
been guilty of any flagrant enormity, shall be-
inserted in the black Book.

That any Apprentice whose name shall have
been inserted in the black book a third time, shall
be expelled.

That the President, Treasurer, or House, Committee
may order the infliction of such moderate Punish-
-ment upon offending Apprentices as the case and
circumstances shall require, but that the name
of no Apprentice be inserted in the black book,
except by Order of the House Committee.

That if more than two Apprentices shall
appear in company together, out of this Hospital,
they shall be severely punished.

That the Apprentices, when out of their time,
shall return their Clothes to the Steward, and shall
receive other Clothes at the discretion of the Committee

That the Fees to be paid when they take up their
Freedom, shall be paid by the Hospital.

With respect to the Improvement of the
Apprentices, your Committee are of opinion that
the Chaplain should instruct them in their
Religious Duty, and Catechize, them in Lent, during
the four first Years of their Servitude, and

That the House Committee should provide for
them such other Instructions as they may think
conducive to their future benefit and advantage.
