Continued Friday 31st. Janry 1794 .

"Public Contract
The Committee had

Resolved that it should be recommended to the General
Court that the 38th. Rule and order be extended to all Persons x
whomsoever by leaving out the wards "Governors" in the 5th. line
and substituting in the room thereof these words "persons whomsoever"

The Minutes of the House Committee were confirmed and it was
Resolved that the propriety of adopting the alterations they recommended
in the 4th. and 38th. Standing Rates and Orders should be considered
at the two next Courts.

The Minutes of the Bethlem Committee of the 18th. December and 29th.
January were read whereby it appeared.

That in pursuance of an order of this Committee of the 31st.
of October last the Clerk had attended the Commissioners of Land Tax [..]
and that the Governors were relieved from the whole of the Assessment

That in pursuance of Public Advertisement the Committee had
Contracted for Slops and Cloathing for the use of the Patients for
three Quarters of a Year from Christmas last.

That the Committee had taken into consideration the Reference
from the General Court respecting the Bills for extra work done to
the Apothecaries House

And that the Surveyor having reported that he had examined the
said Bills and found the Charges to be fair and reasonable and
that the several works had been preformed as therein expressed
And the Committee being of opinion that the said works were fit
and proper to be done for the accommodation of the Apothecary .
