The Minutes of the last Court were read and confirmed.

The Minutes of the House Committee of the 5th. June Instant were read and
confirmed whereby it appeared That the Comee had

Resolved that the re-consideration of their recommendation of the 1st. May last
respecting the Treasurer's House should be for the present postponed And the Committee
had also

Resolved that it be recommended to the next General Court that Henry Cranke< no role > Esqr .
be (as heretofore) upon all Committees so long as he shall continue in the Office of
Auditor General ) And that the Committee had approved of a Petition to the Court of Common
Council for a further Lease of a House and Vaults in Fowkes Court near Tower Street part of
the Bridge House Estate and had

Ordered that the same should be signed by the Clerk and presented at the next Court
of Common Council and That Mr. Treasurer Mr. Deputy Leckey Thomas Nixon< no role > John

< no role > and Robert Precious< no role > Esqrs. or any three of them should be a Committee to treat with
the Committee of the Bridge House Estate for a further Lease of the said premises And
It appearing to the Committee that there was an arrear of rent amounting to £476:14s 3d
due from James Couling< no role > for a farm belonging to the Hospital and the said James
Couling
< no role > having attended and stated that he had been Tenant to the Hospital upwards of
33 years and that it was originally agreed that certain allowances should be made
him for Building and other improvements which allowance he had never received
and that the rent of the said farm was now increased by his exertions from £182 to
£250 per Annum and that his circumstances rendered it impossible for him to pay
such arrears but that he could pay £100 part thereof within 3 Months and is
likewise appearing to the Committee that he had been attentive to the care and
management of the Farm during the time he had occupied it They were of opinion
that upon his paying £100 part of the said arrears within 3 Months and giving
a satisfactory security for the payment of a further sum of £200 within such time as
should be approved by the Committee the remainder of his arrears after such further
