The Minutes of the last Court were read and confirmed.

The Charge was read to Bryan Broughton< no role > Esqr . as a Governor of these Hospital

The Minutes of the Joint Committee of the 15th. Instant convened on the vacancy of
a Surveyor were read wherein they resolved unanimously That a Surveyor for these
Hospitals is absolutely necessary And the Committee werefurtherof opinion that he
should be a Surveyor by possession who when elected should have no other employment
or business connected with the Building Branches and that he should not act as
Surveyor for the Hospitals and for any Tenants in the same works.

And that the Committee had found [..] by a resolution of Court of the 26th.
June last the duly of the Surveyor of these Hospitals was fully and accurately
described and were of opinion that the same should continue to be the duties of
his Successor.

And the Committee were also unanimously of opinion that for the various duties
above stated he should be allowed a Salary of £150 a year and that he should be
paid after the rate of 5 per Cent on all new Buildings exceeding £200 in value
at the expence of the Hospitals.

And a Motion being made and Question proposed that this Court do agree with
the Committee in their said Report

A Motion was made and seconded to amend the same by leaving out the words
"That he should be a Surveyor by possession who when elected should have no other
"employment or business connected with the Building Branches and that he should
