The Minutes of the last Court were read and
Confirmed.

The Minutes of the House Committee were read and
Confirmed.

Chamberlains respect relating to City
Apprentice to certified to Bridewell
having Beds complied with


Upon Reading a Letter from the Chamberlain of
London superscribed as follows"From the Chamberlains
Office Thomas Hall< no role > Porter of Bridewell to be submitted to the next
General Court of the Governors of Bridewell Hospital & containing
the Words and Figures following Vizt. Chamberlains Office
Octr. 31st. 1781 The Chamberlain of London desires that all
Apprentices committed by him to Bridewell may be indulged
with Beds unless it should be otherwise particularly directed in
the Warrant of Commitment In Case of the refractory behaviour
of the Apprentice in Bridewell the Porter is desired to refuse or
discontinue that Indulgence and from time to time to report the
Case to the Chamberlain The old established Fee of six Pence
per Night for the Bed to be paid to the Porter by the Master
of the Apprentice John Wilkes< no role > Chamberlain"This Court
having duly weighed and considered the said Letter Is of
Opinion that the Request or Proposal therein mentioned be
Complied with which Is Ordered accordingly

faithful attention to his Office


Upon Reading a recommendation from the Committee
of Bethlem Hospital bearing date the 3d. day of November
Instant under the Hands of Henry Cranke< no role > Esqr Auditor General
William James< no role > Esqr Thomas Wellings< no role > Esqr Atkins Mr Depy
William Rogers< no role > Mr. John Walts< no role > John Brown< no role > Esqr . Dr John Moren< no role >
Mr Richd Crowther< no role > Mr Saml Swain< no role > and Mr. Richd Till< no role > in the Words
and figures following "It is the Unanimous Opinion of this
Committee that it be recommended to the General Court that a
Gratuity of Fifty sound be given to Mr Henry White< no role > Steward
of Bethlem Hospital as a further Mark of the Governors
Approbation of his Conduct and a reward for his diligence and
faithful Attention to the Duties of his Office and the Services rendered
thereby to the Charity All which is nevertheless submitted to the
Judgment of the Court and Ordered to be reported at the next Court
