of an Under of Court of the 21st. of November last whereby it was
referred to this committee to consider the misbehaviour of the
Apprentices in this Hospital and to Report their Opinion by what
means the same may be remedied This Committee proceeded to
Examine the several Artsmasters and their Apprentice and upon
such Examination of appeared to this Committee that Thomas
Nash
< no role > and John Norgrove Rouse< no role > both Apprentices to Joshua
Crickett
< no role > are two of the most wicked and disorderly Boys in the Hospital
and their said Master declining to receive them again into his House
This Committee are of Opinion that the said Thomas Nash< no role > and John
Norgrove Rouse be whipped Stripped and turned out of the
Hospital as an Example to the rest of th Apprentices. All which is
nevertheless Submitted to the Judgment of th Court." This
Court having duly weighted and considered the said Report
doth Order that the word whipped in such Report mentioned be
omitted and that the said Thomas Nash< no role > and John Norgrove< no role > Rouse
be kept seperate to hard Labour and Slender did for one Month
and that they or then Stripped and turned out of the Hospital
unless during that Month they shall be inclined to go into the
Kings Service and then to be discharged by Mr. President or Mr.
treasurer And this Court being of Opinion that Correction may in
some Cases be of service to the Junior Apprentices It is Ordered
that Mr. treasurer be desired to direct such of the said Junior
Apprentices who are disorderly or shall otherwise misbehave
themselves to be corrected in such manner as he shall think fit.

Upon Reading a Petition of the Senior Apprentices
on behalf of themselves and the Juniors in the Words and figure
following" That your Petitioners with due Deference to your
Worships Judgment and Humanity hope for a favorable
Consideration of this their Petition notwithstanding their form
Errors have made Submission of this kind extremely necessary and
your Petitioners with shame acknowledge a strict Obersuance
the Promises in them contained to have been greatly neglected.
That your Petitioners feel themselves sorely Aggrieved by the
late restrictions upon that Freedom they have hitherto enjoyed & in
confidence of finding relief lay the following reasons before Your
Wroships for your Perusal1stThat many of your Petitioner
