Upon Reading the humble Petition of the three Beadles or Basketmen of the
Hospital of Bethlem for their usual Gratuitys of Twenty shillings a Peice in respect of
the half Year ending at Midsumer last for that their Salarys are but small It is
Ordered that the Clerk of these Hospitals do give and pay unto them Twenty shillings
a peice to be Allowed him in his next Account.

Upon Reading a Report from the Comittee of this House bearing date the 8th. of
July 1747 under the hands of Edwd. Holloway< no role > Esqr . Treasr Doctor Richard
Rawlinson
< no role > John Lock< no role > Esqr . Mr. John Lee< no role > , Mr. Saml. John< no role > and Mr. Robt. Elliott< no role > as
follows (Vizt)At this Comittee the proposals of Mrs. Mary Parsons< no role > which was
referred to them by Order of Court the 8th. of April 1747 was read Setting forth That
she proposes to take a Lease of the Governors of Bethlem Hospital of a Warehouse
under the New building for Incurable Patients at the East end Bethlem Hospital
for Seven Years to Comence from Christmas last at the Yearly rent of Twenty five
pounds payable quarterly at the Compting house of Bridewell Hospital clear of all
Taxes Parliamentory or othersAnd Mr. Steer (who Attended this Comee on
behalf of the said Mr. Parsons) being called in proposed to make the Rent Thirty pounds a
Year whereupon this Comittee haveing considered the said Proposal are of Opinion
to Accept the same upon which the said Mr. Stear gave a Guinea to the Poors boxAll
which is Nevertheless Submitted to the Judgement of the CourtAnd it is Ordered
that this opinion be reported to the CourtThis Court hireing duly weighed & considered the
last Report doth Confirm the same & order that a Lease be made to the sd Mr. Parsons accordingly.

Mr. Treasurer Acquainted this Court that Doctor Monro after he had
taken his Charge as a Governor at the last Court gave him a Bank Note of
One Hundred pounds for the use of Bethlem Hospital.
