to this Court that in Pursuance of an Order of Court the 27th. of May last he and Sr
. Deputy
Hunt and Mr. John Purcas two other of the Governors had made enquiry and found that
Joseph Beacham Procter< no role >
who Served his Apprenticeship in this Hospital is Setup for
himself in the Trade of a Glover
and hath the Character of a Diligent and Sober Man
Whereupon It is Ordered that the Stewards of this Hospital to give and pay unto
the said Joseph Beacham Procter Ten Pounds out of Mr Locks Gift to be Allowed him
in his next Account.

Upon Reading the humble petition of the four Beadles
& Pertersman
of this
Hospital for their usual Gratuitys of Forty shillings a peice in respect of the half Year
ending at Midsumer last for that their Salarys are but Small It is Ordered that the
Clerk of these Hospitals do give and pay unto them Forty shillings a peice to be Allowed
him in his next Account.
