Dr . Richard Rawlinson< no role > & Mr. Deputy Hunt two of the Governors of these Hospitals
Reported to this Court that in pursuance of an Order of Court the 16th. of July last they
had made enquiry and found that William Jones< no role > who served his Apprenticeship in the
Hospital is set up for himself in the Trade of a Glover and that the Character of a
diligent and sober Man Whereupon It is Ordered That the Steward of this Hospl.
do give and pay unto the said William Jones< no role > Ten Pounds out of Mr. Locks Gift
to be allowed him in his next Account.

£5. Fowkes Gift}


Mr. Trear Reported from the Comee of this House held the 17th. of June last
That in case the Court should Order £10 of Mr. Locks Gift to be given to William
Jones
< no role > who is set up in his Trade of a Glover In regard to the Character the Comee
have had of the Extraordinary good behavior of the said William Jones< no role > during his
Apprenticeship They recommend him to the Court to give him a further Sum out
of Mr. Fowkes Gift for his better support which the Committee hope will be an
Encouragement to other Apprentices in this Hospital to follow good Examples
- This Court having Considered the same Doth Order that the Clerk do
give and pay to the said William Jones< no role > Five Pounds of Mr. Fowkes Gift -
to be allowed him in his next Account.

Trade of a Needlemaker and hath the Character of a diligent sober Man
Whereupon It is Ordered that the Steward of this Hospital do give
and pay unto the said William Wilkins< no role > Ten Pounds out of Mr. Locks Gift
to be allowed him in his next Account.
