Upon reading a Report from the Comee of this House bearing date the
5th. of June 1746. under the hands of Edward Holloway< no role > Esqr . Treasurer Mr. Deputy
Hunt Mr. Nathaniel Nash< no role > Mr. Thomas Morris< no role > Dr . Richd. Rawlinson< no role > as follows
Vizt.At this Comee the Petn. of Jonathan Eades< no role > of Wapping Ship Chandler (wch.
was referred to them by Order of Court the 30th. of April last) was read setting forth
That the Petr. proposes to late a Lease or Leases with usual Covenants in Lease from
the Governours to their Tenants at Wapping of Two Messuages or Tenements situate
on the South Side of Wapping Street near King Edward Stairs in Lease No 28 & 29
for 21 Years form last Laday at the Yearly Rent of £5 for the House No.28 & £3 for
the House No. 29 payable quarterly at the Compling House of Bridewell Hospital and
to layout £210 in repairing the Premes & to pay a Fine of £110 and to Execute a
Counterpart of such LeaseAnd praying a Lease according to his said Proposals
And the said Mr. Eades being called in proposed to make the fine £120 And being
called in a 2nd. proposed to make it 120 GuineasThis Comee having considered
the said last proposal are of Opinion to accept the same & that a Lease or Leases be
made to the said Jonathan Eades< no role > accordingly upon which he gave two Guineas to the
Poors boxAll which is nevertheless submitted to the Judgement of the Court
And it is Ordered that this Opinion be reported to the CourtThis Court
having duly weighed & considered the said Report doth confirm the
same & Order that a Lease or Leases be made to the said Jonathan Eades< no role >
accordingly.

Vizt.At this Comee the Petn. of Lawson Maston< no role > of Wapping Victualler which was
referred them by Order of Court the 7th. March last was read setting forthThat the Petr.
preposes to take a Lease or Leases of the Governours with such Covenants as are usually contain
in Leases to their Tenants at Wapping (of Two Messes or Tenemts. situate & being near
King Edwards Stone at Wapping one of which Messuage is now in the Occupation of ye
Petr. and the other of Crosby Butcher for 21 Years from 20 day last at the yeast
Rent of £8 [..] of Taxes & payable quarterly at the compling House of Bridewell Hospital .
London & to pay a Fine of £63, and to layout £221 in repairing the Premes according to
the Estimates annext to his Petn. & to Execute a Counterpart of such LeaseAnd praying
a Lease According to his said proposallsAnd the said Lawson Maston being Called
in proposed to make the Fine 70 Guineas & being called in a second time proposed to make
the Fine £80This Comee having Considered the said last proposall are of
Opinion to accept the same and that a Leases or Leases be made to the said Lawson
Maston AccordinglyUpon which he gave half a Guinea to the Poors Box
All which is nevertheless submitted to the Judgement of the CourtAnd it is
Ordered that this Opinion be reported to the CourtThis Court having
duly weighted and considered the said Report doth confirm the same & Order
that a Lease or Leases be made to the said Lawson Maston accordingly.
