A Letter from the Right honble. the Lord Viscount
Townshend his Majestys Principal Secretary of State to the
Governours of this hospital being read as followeth vizt.
Whitehall 3d. Novemr. 1715. Gentlemen his Majesty haveing
been informed that Some disorders have been Comitted in a
riotous manner by Severall Blew Coates or others belonging
to Bridewell hospital under your Care I am directed to Speak
to you about it and am therefore to desire that Some of your
Body will please to come to me at my office to morrow
morning at Twelve I am Gentlemen your most humble
ServantTownshendIt is Ordered that a
Comittee be appointed to wait on his Lordship and that the Clerk
of these hospitals do attend them & accordingly Mr. Trear Tayler Tho:
