Male< no role > Senr . eldest Beadle of this hospital for his
officiateing as Porter from the time William Empson< no role >
the late Porter was Suspended from his office the said
Male and Empson were both called in and asked whether
or no they could agree the matter between themselves to
which they answered they beleived they could and withdrew
for that purpose and being returned acquainted this Comee
that they were agreed if the Comee thought fitt that the
said Male should have fifty shillings out of the Porters
Salary in respect of his Service aforesaid And that the
said Empson should have the Remaindr. And this Comee
are of Opinion that out of the usual Salary payable to
the Porter to Xmas last fifty shillings be accordingly
paid to Male and the remainder to Empson This
Court doth Confirme the said Report

to have £4 gratuity
for ye year to Matter 1710}


Also upon reading to this Court a Report from the Comee
of this house dated the 11th. day of this Instant January
under the hands of John Cass< no role > Esqr . Trear Richard Woodward< no role >
Esqr . Mr Geo. Ludlam< no role > Mr. Lace: Parker< no role > Mr John Cottle< no role >
Mr. Depty. John Taylor< no role > & Mr Fran Forbes< no role > which Rept.
is in these words Vizt This Comee in p suance of an
Order made at a Court holden at this Hospital the 15th. day
of Decemr. last took into Consideracon the petition of
Roger Gething< no role > Clerke of the Chappel of this hospital
that day preferred to the Court Setting forth that he
is at a Constant Charge and trouble in Cleansing the Chappel
the Lobby and the Stories and looking after the appurtences
besides her teaching the apprentices of this hospital twice a
week & not haveing any allowance or salary in respect thereof
& humbly praying the Consideracon of ye Court for such his
Service for the year last past ending at Michinas last
And this Comee haveing duely weighed and Considered ye
same are of Opinion that the sd Gething be allowed four
pounds as a Gratuity for such his Service for the year
ending at Michmas last which nevertheless they Submitt to the
Judgmt. of the Court This Court haveing duely weighed &
considered ye said Report doth Confirme ye same
