Empson resignes his
Offices}

him during phasure}


Dismiss him from his said office that it would be a peice of
Charity if his Successor. should be obliged by an Order to alllow him
£12: P ann out of the Sallary and perquisites of the said office
dureing the pleasure of the Court and Itt is Ordered
That this Opinion be Reported to the next Court And
Empson haveing given out in Writeing to severall of the
Governors. present that he would Resique his Office at this Court
he was called in and Voluntarily Resigned his Office of
Porter of this Hospital and [..] withdrew Then the
question was put that the Court do agree with the Comittee
That his Successor be obliged to allow him £12: P Ann out of
the Sallary and P quisites of the said office dureing the pleasure
of this Court It passed in the Affirmative Vennue Contraduente
And a Motion being made and the question being putt that an
addition he made to the said allowance It passed in ye Negative

Ordered That the Election of a Porter in the roome of
the said Empson be at the next Court And that Notice thereof
be incerted in the Ticketts

Mayle's service as porter
to be considerd P Comee}


Ordered That it be Referred to the Comittee of this House
to Consider what allowance is fitt to be made to James Mayle< no role > Senr .
Eldest Beadle of this Hospital for his offinateing as Porter since
the time the said William Empson< no role > was Suspended by this Court
from his said Office And to Report their Opinion therein to the
next Court

Also upon reading the humble Petition of Roger Getting< no role > Clerke of
the Chappell of this Hospital Settingforth that he is at a Constant Charge
and trouble in Cleaning the Chappell the Lobby and the Staires and
lookeing after the Appurtenances besides his teaching the Apprentices
of this Hospital horse a weeke to Sing [..] P Salmes & not haveing
any allowance or Sallary in respect thereof and humbly prayeing
the Consideracon of the Court for such his Service for the yeare
