This Court being Informed That Natl. Allen< no role > one
of the Tenants of a Farme of these Hosptls at Barstone
als Barfreestone in the County of Kent had his goods
distrained for non paymt. of Taxes for the Years 1698 and
1699 And the Clerk of these Hosptls haveing acquainted
this Court That hee had attended Mr Sayt. Brotherick
Mr. Sarjt. Richardson and Mr Fran Browne< no role > Councels
at Law and Severall other of the Goods of these Hosptls
in this matter and That their opineons was that the
said Hosptls lands at Barstone aforesaid were not
by Act of Parliamt. lyable to pay the said Taxes and
as they conceived an Accon of Trespass will lye agt. ye
Psons who seiked or Distrained the said Goods
Whereupon it is Ordred by this Court That the sd.
