Several of the Inhabitants of Shadwell having presented
a petition to the last Session of the peace on account of the late
outrages in your Neighbourhood, in the words following [the
petition inserted here] which petition containing a charge
against you of misconduct in your office as a Justice of
peace and the court having Examined upon Oath into the
truth of the Allegations therein contained I am directed to
acquaint you thereof and to desire that you will be present
at Hick's Hall on the County Day of the next Session by one
o'Clock in the afternoon to answer the matter of the said
Complaint The Petitioners being referred to that time to
be further heard in your presence if you think fit and to
receive an answer to their petition

to suspend the hold.g
of Bow Fair

Sir George Colebrooke< no role > Bart . being present among the others
of his Majesty's Justices of the peace assembled in Session
the Court represented to him that great mischiefs had arisen
and been occasioned by the holding of a certain annual Fair
belonging to the said Sir Geo: Colebrooke called Bow Fair
otherwise Green Goose Fair within the Manor of Stepney in
this County of which Manor the said Sir George Colebrooke< no role >
is Lord Whereupon the said Sir George Colebrooke informed
the Court that he was advised he had a right by Law to hold
the said Fair at the place aforesaid but that notwithstand.g
out of his great regard to the preservation of the public
peace and from a willingness to oblige the Inhabitants of
this County he was willing to suspend the Exercise of his
said Right and accordingly in open court promise and
agree without prejudice to the right and inheritance of him
the said Sir George Colebrooke< no role > and his Hevis in and to the sd.
Fair and with a saving of the Right of him and them to hold
