This Indenture Wittnesseth That John Francis< no role > & Lancelott Copleston< no role > Churchwardens
Hugh Mills< no role > Francis Morlye< no role > Wm Lawrence< no role > , and John Seywell< no role > Overseeres of the poore of ye
Parish of St Clement Danes in the County of Middx with thassent of John Phellipps< no role > & Peter
Lugg Esqrs Justices of the Peace for the County of Midd & Citty and Libty of Westmr : according
to a Statute in that Case made and provided have putt William Barling< no role > sonne of
Nicollas Barling< no role > Apprentice to [..] George Corbor Citizen and Plasterer of London
and with him after the manner of an Apprentice to dwell and serve from the
day of the date hereof unto the full end and terme of eight yeares from thence
next ensueing and fully to be compleate and ended Dureing all which said to terme
wee the Churchwardens and Overseeres of the poore with thassent aforesaid
Doe Order and appoint that the said William Barling< no role > well and faithfully shall
serve, his Mars secretts keepe his Commandments lawfull and honest every where
Shall gladly doe, hurt to his said Master he shall not doe or consent to be done
of others but that he to his power shall prevent the same, or else from time to time
admonish him thereof, the goods of his said Mar: he shall not wast nor them to
any body lend without his consent neither from his service by day or night
Shall not absent himselfe, but in all things as a good and faithfull servant ought
to doe Shall behave himselfe towards his said Mar: and all his dureing the said
terme of eight yeares Taverns or Alehouses he shall not frequent unlesse it be
about his Mar: bussinesse there to be done, at Cards Dice or any other unlawfull
games he shall not play where by his Mar: receive any prejudice, Fornication
he shall not committ Matrymony dureing the said [..] he shall not contract
And the said [..] George Corker< no role > shall teach and instruct his or cause to be taught and
instructed his said Apprentice in the trade of a Plasterer which he now useth
according to his best skill and knowledge And the said [..] George Corker< no role > shall give
and find to his said Apprentice sufficient meate drinke washing Lodgeing Apparrell
Linnen and all other necessarys meete and convenient for such an Apprentice
dureing the said terme, and for the true Pformance of all the Articles in forme
aforesaid to be text the said parties bind themselves each to other by these Prsent
In Wittnesse whereof the said parties to these present Indentures interchangably
have sett theire hands and seales this five & twentieth day of March in the first yeare
of the raigue of or Soveraigne Lord King William Etc Annoqr Dui 1689
