This Indenture Wittnesseth that John Francis< no role > & Lancelott Copleston< no role > Churchwardens Hugh Mills< no role >
Francis Morlye< no role > Edward Crisdell< no role > & Wm Lawrence< no role > Overseeres of the poore of the parise of St
Clement Danes in the County of Middx with the Assent of John Phellipps< no role > & Peter Lugg< no role > Esqrs.
Justices of the peace for the County of Middx and Citty & Libty of Westmr . according to a Statute
in that Case made & provided have putt Sarah Mills< no role > Daughter of Richard Mills< no role > late of the sd.
Parish deed an Apprentice to Katherine Gale< no role > of Long Ford in the County Widd And with
her after the manner of an Apprentice to dwell & serve from the day of the date hereof
unto the full end and terme of seaven Yearers from thence next ensueing and fully to be
compleate and ended Dureing all which said terme wee the Churchwardens and
Overseeres of the poore wth thassent aforesaid Order and appoint that the said Sarah Mills< no role >
well and faithfully Shall serve her secreets keepe her Commandmts. lawfull and
honesty every where shall gladly doe, hurt to her said Mrs. She shall not doe or consent to
be done of others but shall prevent it if she may or else from time to time admonish
her thereof Taverns or Alehouses she shall not frequent (unlesse it be about her Mrs.
bussinesse there to be done) At Cards Dice or any other unlawfull games she shall not
play whereby her Mrs. may receive any prejudice, Fornication she shall not committ
Matrymony dureing the said terme she shall not contract And the said Katherine
Gale shall teach and instruct or cause to be taught and instructed her said
Apprentice in housewife ye according to her best skill and knowledge And the sd.
Katherine Gale< no role > shall give and find to her said Apprentice sufficient meate drink
washing Lodgeing Apparreth Linnen and all other necessaryes meete & Convenient
for such an Apprentice dureing the said terme And for the true Pformance of
all the said Articles in forme aforesaid to be Kept the said Pcies bind themselves
Each to other by these Presents In Wittnesse Whereof ye said Pcies to these present
Indentures interchangeably have sett theire hands & Seales this eight & twentieth day
of Sept Anne RRs Jacobi scdi nunc Anglia Etc Quarto Annoqr Dui 1688
