The Examination of Mary Dixon< no role > Widow of Wm. Dixon
Lodging in the Parish of St. Clemt. Danes in the County
of Middx Taken ye. 22d. Day of Novr. 1740 Who upon her
Oath saith yt. abt. 19 Years ago she Intermarried with
ye. abovesd. Wm. Dixon< no role > & that her sd. late Husband before
his Intermarriage with this Exaiant & whilst he was a
Single Man lived a yearly hired Servt . with Sr. Peter
King
< no role > in Norfolk Street in the sd. Parish of St. Clemt. Danes
for the Space of 2 years at the yearly Wages of £7. And
this Exaiant further saith that her sd. Husband never
after he left his sd. Service [..] neither has she this Exaiant since
his Death Rented £10 a Year Paid Parish Taxes or otherwise
gained a Settlemt. in any other Place to her knowledge or
beleife that she hath one Child which is in the Charity
School but being Poor & Lame is not able to maintaine
herselfe & Child
