The Examination of Joseph Povee on the Behalfe
of Jno. Dingley< no role > an Inft. aged about Seven Years
living in the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the
County of Middx taken the 25th. Day of Octr. 1740
Who upon his Oath Saith that Jno. Dingley< no role > the
Father of the sd. Inft. went as a Soldier to the Leward
Islands & hath not been heard of since & further
Saith Dorothy Dingley the Mother of the said
Inft. rented a House in the Butcher Row in the sd.
Parish of St. Clemt. Danes of the Yearly Rent of
£25 & lived in the same half a Yeare & there dyed
& further saith that the sd. Jno. Dingley< no role > the Father
& Dorothy Dingley< no role > the Mother of the sd. Infant
before the sd. Jno. Dingley< no role > the Father went abroad
as a Soldier lived togather as Man & Wife & were
always Deemed & taken so to be by this Exaiant & the
rest of their Neighbours
