The Examination of Walter Sterley< no role > Passed from the
Liberty of Saffron Hill Hatton Garden & Ely Rents
in the Parish of St. Andrew Holbourn in the County
of Middx to the Parish of St. Clemt. Danes in the same
County Taken the 24th. Day of Novr. 1740 Who
upon his Oath saith yt. in the Year 1714 he was
bound an Apprentice to one Mr. Isaac Stretch< no role >
Watchmaker at Birmingham in ye. County of Warwick
& lived with him abt. one Year when his sd. Master
Dyed & further saith that he was never assigned
over to any Person whatever but after the Death of
his sd. Master continued to live with his sd. Master
Brother for the Space of four Years or thereabouts &
then came to London (having at that Time abt. one
Year & half of his apprentiship to serve) And agreed
to live with one Mr. Thos. Allen< no role > in Duke Street in
the Parish of St. Clemt. Danes in the Liberty of
Westmr . & County of Middx for one Year & halfe
being the Remainder of his sd. Apprentiship at Fifty
two Shillings P Year Wages & this Exaiant further saith
