New Foule Wards.

It being found very unconvenient to have Patients under the Foule
Disease Kept in the Wards within this Hospitall as now Practiced And those
being a want of Bedds for Clean Patients Wee are of Opinion that Wards
should be Built at some Distance rom the Body of the Hospitall where
the Foule Patients shall be kept Seperate from the Cleane And a Plan
for a new Building at the South West Corner of the Burying Ground
to be made use of for that purpose having been laid before us Wee
Approved of the same the Scituacon there of which takes in
some Old Decayed Tenements part where of are now out of Lease and
the Leases of the rest are neare Expiring and are of small value Wee
therefore humbly Recommend it to this Court That Your Grand
Committee may be Authorize to take in the Leases of the said Old
Houses and to Erest and fitt up the said New Building in such manner
as they shall Judge most propper for the Service of the Hospitall And
to make use of the present House Wards for Clean Patients.

Wee are likewise of Opinion That the Roofes of the Three Wards
in the Third Court of this Hospitall and also the Roofes of the present
Foule Wards should be Raised The Doctors and Surgeons having
often Complained that the Upper Wards there are in the Winter too
Cold and in the Summer too hott and therefore incomodious and
prejudiciall to the Patients And Wee humbly Recommend the Same
to this Court for theie Direccons therein.
