In Regard Captn. Some Our Tennant of the Demeasues of
the Manour of Massworth in the County of Bucks Upon a Lease
Expiring of Michas next Although often sent to and Treated with
about the Renewing of the said Lease hath Trifted with Us in his
Proposalls and not made any Offer which in Our Judgement came
near the true value of this Farme and hath Suffered the said Lease
to be almost runn out Wee have therefore Treated and Agreed with
henry Batchellor< no role > of Massworth aforesaid to Grant him a Lease of
the said Demesnes for 21 Years from the End of the Present Lease being
Michas next At the yearly Rent o f £20. In Consideracon of Fine of £400.
where of £100. to be paid within a mouth after this Agreement And
the remaining £300. at three Equall yearly Payments Vizt. Michas
1716. Michas 1717. and Michas 1718. He is to pay all Taxes and to be
under the like Covenants as in the Present Lease with a Covenant
to leave Such Fallow upon this Farme at the End of the Terme as
is usually made there and shall be Agreable to the Custome of the
Country.

Hospitall hath voluntarity Resigned the said Place And he having
Represented to Us the Extraordinary Trouble and Service he hath
Under gone by reason of the Increase of Patients during the Late
Warr and Since the Enlarging of the House And upon the Alteracon
made in the method of Keeping the Accompts of the Patients
And requested Some Allowance in respect there of Wee Recomend
it to this Court That Wee may be Impowered to Consider of the
said Request and to Order him a Gratnity if upon Inquiry into
this case wee shall be Satisfied it is reasonable So to doe.

Before a new Steward is Chosen Wee thought it proper
to Settle and fix Sever all Fees and Charges and to make some
Orders relating to the Poor who shall be Taken as Patients into
this Hospitall or Admitted as Out Patients Which Wee Conceive
may be for the Service of the Hospitall and Submitt the Same to
the Judgment of this Court being as followeth Vizt.
