Wee have Chosen John Hanson< no role > Citizen and Haberdasher of London to
be One of the Beadles of this Hospitall in the Roome of John Smith< no role > deced
To hold the same during the pleasure of this Court or your Grand Comittee.

On the 11th. of Aprill Last Mr. Treasurer and Mr. Halsey by Our Order
Viewed the Woods in Parndon in Essex In One of which a fall was then
making of the Underwoods They marked out 121. Oaks which they
Thought proper to be Felled Containing together about 34. Load And
sold the same to William Walker< no role > for £75. To be paid One halfe at
Midsomer and the other Halfe at Michaelmas 1715.

The Governors:


Wee have Ordered Green Staffs to be sent to Jacob Sawbridge< no role > Esqr .
Mr Lamelot Lee< no role > ' and Captn . Hugh Raymond< no role > Esteeming them Proper
Persons to be Governors of this Hospitall.

Grant to Mr.
Slade


Mr. Thomas Slade< no role > Under tennant to Mr. Thomas Rider< no role >
of a House the Signe of the Key Joyning to and Lying partly over the
Gateway Leading out of the High Street of the Burrough into St. Thomas
Parish Which Mr. Rider Holds upon a Lease Expiring at Michas 1717. at
£12. P Ann The Improved Rent whereof is £50 P Ann Acquainting us That
Mr Rider had Consented that he should have the Right of Renewing the
said Leases And also the Lease of a Litle House lying within the said
Gateway And he Producing a Note under the said Mr Riders hand
Signifying such his Consent Wee have thereupon Agreed with the
said Mr Slade to Grant him a New Lease of the said House now in his
possession And also of the said Little House which Adjoyns to the
Back part thereof and is now in the possession of Ephraim Lander< no role >
and Held by the said Mr Ryder under a Lease Expiring also at Michas
1717. At the Rent of £3:6s. 8d. P Ann And that both Houses be included
in One Lease for the Terme of 21 Years to Commence from the
Expiracon of the said Present Leases at the Old Yearly Rents making
together £15:06s:08d for a Fine of £300. whereof £50. is to be paid within
a Week and the Reminder at the Commencement of the said Lease.

The Place of Butler and Brewer in this Hospitall
becoming Vacant by the Death of Edward Stanfield< no role > Wee have
according to the Power lodged in Us by this Court made Choice of
Walter Jones< no role > the Porter of the Back Gate of this Hospitall to Supply
the said Places untill this Court Wee find That the said Jones
Officiated in both these Places on behalfe of the said Stanfield for
some time before his Death He himselfe being incapable by
reason of his ill state of Health And that as well during that time
as Since Stanfields Death He hath Discharged the Datyes of these
Places to Our Satisfaction Wee therefore Recommend him to this
Court as a fitt and proper Person to be Chosen into the said Places
And in Case this Court shall be Pleased to make Choice of him for
these Places Then he is to Resigne his Place of Porter of the Back
Gate And another is to be Chosen in his Roome for that Place.

Wee being of Opinion That it may Tend to Promote and
Advance the Benefaccons of this Excellent Charity That no
Sums under £20. should Appeare upon the Publick To bles of the
Great Hall of this Hospitall Have Ordered That for the furture
No Guifts under that Sume shall be Entred on the said Tables
Except Guifts Coming from Persons Unknown and Legacys .
