age to be Surrended


Wee have agreed to accept a Surrender of the Lease Granted to Mr Nicholas
Chambers
< no role > & Mr. John Broomhead< no role > for one and Twenty yeares from Michmas 1701 at
the yearly Rent of Fifty pounds of a Messuage or Tenement in paternoster Rowe
commonly called the Anchor and Crowne , And have agreed to grant a new Lease of
the same Prmes to Thomas Farrow< no role > for the Terme of Eighteen yeares from Xmas
last at the Old yearly Rent of Fifty pounds being the Rackrent, and to putt the same
into repaire at the Hospitalls Charge, The said Chambers and Broomhead being both
dead insolvent.

Wee have also agreed with John Andrews< no role > to grant him a Lease of a
Messuage or Tenement in Basing lane London late in the Occupacon of Edward
Gwinn
< no role > Joyner together with the use of the Goods now fixed or standing in the said
House which are to be menconed in a Schedule to be annexed to the said Lease for
the Terme of Fourteene Yeares from Lady day next at the yearly Rent of Fourteene
pounds reserveing a liberty therein for the continuance of the Lights and Water
coursed belonging to any of the adjoyning houses in such manner as they are now
used.

of Hackney


Whereas a difference was likely to arise betweene this Hospitall and
Mrs: Sykes of Hackney touching the Division and Bounds of Two Pightells or Small pecred
of Ground in Hackney aforesaid each containing about halfe an Acre lyeing betweene
the Road leading to or called Well Street towards the South and affeild now held of this
Hospitall by Lease granted to Mrs: Margarett Cook towards the North, One whereof
belongs to this Hospitall and the other to the said Mrs: Syked: We thought it for the advantage
of the Hospitall to treat with her for the purchase of the pightle claimed by her; upon which
a House hath been lately erected under a Lease granted by her or her late Husband
deceased for along Terme of yeares yet to come at Five & Thirty shillings per Annum rent
and we have agreed to give her Forty seaven pounds & Five shillings for the purchase
of the Rovercon and Inheritance of the said peice of Grand, which is to be conveyed
to the use of this Hospitall

Wee are to acquaint this Court that Mr. John Salmon< no role > late Citizen and
Haberdasher of London deced by his Will dated the Thirtieth of July 1709 gave to
this Hospitall One hundred pounds which he appointed to be put out at Interest or laid
out in the purchase of Land, so as the yearly Rent or profitts may be added to the
Yearly Revenue of this Hospitall and applyed towards the better maintenance and
support of the Sick and wounded persons therein, Orifthe Constitution of the Hospitall
would not admitt of such a Settlement or disposicon Then he appointed that the sd Legacy
should be applyed or disposed of to the use and benefitt of this Hospitall in such manner
as the Generall Court of this Hospitall should direct and appoint which Legacy
