Wee haveing received a Letter from Reginald Marriott< no role > Esqr : our Auditor
of the Accompts of this Hospital dated the 14th: of November first, whereby
he freely Resigned his said place, and humbly recomended Mr John Ozell< no role >
to be his Successor therein, if the Governors should so please, And we being
of Opinion that the said Mr Ozell is a Proper Person to Supply the said
place, he haveing for may years Past Acted under the said Mr Marriott
as his Clerke in Stateing and Seting the said Accompts, whereby he is
become well acquainted with the Method and nature of the same, Have
appointed the said Mr Ozell to be our Auditor in the Room of the said
Mr Marriott: To hold the same with the usuall Fees and Allowances
dureing the pleasure of the Governors of this Hospitall, and not otherwise,
And wee Recomend the said Mr Ozell to this Court for their Approbation and
Confirmation.

The Executor: of William Abbott< no role > deceased our late Tenant of the old
Brid in hand in St: Thomas's parish ) not being able to comply with the Covenant
or new Building: And wee being of Opinion That the said House may be lett to Some
other tenant upon as good or better Termes that are contained in our Lease thereof
to the said Mr Abbott: Wee have therefore accepted a Surrender of the said Lease.

Grant to Mr. Kite


Wee have agreed with Benjamin Kite< no role > , to Grant him a Lease of a House
within the Shedds and Buildings thereunto belonging, near the new way in St Thomas's
Parish (now in the possession of Ebenzer Willinott< no role > as Tenant at Will to this
Hospitall at £15: P Ann for the Terme of One and Twenty Years from Christmas
next at the yearly Rent of Three pounds, free of Taxes; For a Fine of Ninety
pounds with usuall Covenants.

Grant to Mr
Nathanll Smith< no role >


Wee have agreed with Mr Nathaniell Smith< no role > to Grant him a Lease of Two
Tenements with the Garden thereunto belonging, lately held by Mr Joseph Shewin
upon a Lease which expired at Midsumer last and now in the possession of the
said Mr Shewin or his Under tenant stituate near the Church in the Parish of St: Mary
Magdalen Bermondsey in Southwarke in the County of Surrey , For the Terme of
Twenty Six years from Michmas last, whereby this Lease will expire at the
Same time saith another Lease already granted to the said Mr Smith of a House &
Tann-yard next adjoyning to the said Two Tenements and Garden at the yealy
Rent of Sixteen pounds, Tax Free; The said Mr Smith is to putt both the said
Tenements for the with into good and Substantiall Repaire at his owne Charge
and So leave the Same at the end of the said Terme: And in Case the said Garden
or any part thereof shall be converted into or used as a Tann-Yard; He is to lease
all the Pitt, Fatts, Pavements Trecons and Buildings which shall be made or
Sett up in or upon the Same in good Order and Condition at the end of the said
Terme.

We have agreed with Capt : John Rose< no role > our Tenant of a House & Ground
in St: Thomas's Parish near the way leading into the Church yard: and with Mr
Clarke his Under tenant for altering or exchargeing the way or passage
leading to the said House, by makeing a new Way or passage through a
Tenement lately held by Mr. Richard Foster< no role > , and to lay the said Old way
or passage, into the House adjoyning the rate, now in the Occupaion of John
Marriott
< no role > Glasior and have accordingly attered the said way
