To Francis Webb< no role > Esqr Salisbury
London 6 May 1805

Sir

Being out of Town on Saturday I had no Opportunity of
replying to your letter of the 3d. received that dayMy letter not being
received by you in Course is much to be regritted as the Request of the
Messrs. White Appeasing perpeting reasonable, I was on hopes very
Acqurenence there with on the part of the Hospital would have settled
the business, provided they appeared on every other Respect eligible
Tenants. Order impossible for me to judge of Mr Hudson respon
sibitely, & an is desirable we should be well faterfeed on that
Subject, I take refer granted you will not treat with carry one
whose Character is not satisfactory. I am no Objections to giving
the depretation to the Tenant Neither can it be would that the
House should be otherwise than in good Repan for the incoming
Tenant. If therefore he was comes putty near our rent (peweded the
Whites do not agree, & your think he will do freshed to the Estate)
I apprehend you may without difficutly obtined such Propositions
as you imitiably agree to, for the Approbation of the Grand Committee
as will be likely to be complied with.

The £950 you name, I take for granted as exclusive of
Bifferes, as a fair rent between Man & Man; if more cannot be
obtained we much submat to it, but I am in hopes you will have
to further a more favourable proposition to my Confederation.
I remember, when at Perserve we have £900 opened by the Son of
a wealthy old Man in the adjourning Village is he had an intelligent
Brother in Law with him I do not recollect his Name but as care
were all prepossessed in his favour, I should like if we cover our
Terms (if you can do it) that he has the Preference but surely
not for less than £950 exclusive of BettersThe Land tax is
not redeemed. I by the favour of hearing from you by return
of Poet and am
