Sir
I am favoured with yours of the 5th. adversing are of two offices
you have had for the Colliery, the one from a Mr Frost of £165
P ann. the other from Farnsworth, Adlington wild propesery
" to pay 7 PCent for the Sough, up any the monry expanded in
" the new road, new pets etc, the Stock of Coats Horses etc, & £100 P Ann
" rent"The last offer I cannot judge of tell you send me the
Amount of percentage, on the Sough, well the Value of what
they propose purchasing, & as I consider at and expensible that the
works ought only to be tell to responsible persons, I beg you well
ask the part us whether they can give Security for then due
performence of the Contract. It is necessary that I should be
in possession of every Particular before the business can evelt
Properity be submitted to the Grand Committee. you well of
Escure introduce proper Restrictions relative to [..] of
land to be worked by the Tenant, Charing the Rubbish & &
& name there in your Reject to me.
Mr. Beevers has given you an A pursance that nuther
yourself not Mr Shape reced be under any serves appre-
-herisions relative to your Leases, & I must add that your [..]
for, Integrety & Respectability are fully known to me, & that
I am pursuaded we shall uncle in one week Vizt. that of
honourably endeavouring to promote the Instant of the Hos-

I am sorry it is not in my Power to attend the meeting
of the Commissioners this Evening understanding the value of the
House belonging to St. Thomas Hospital (I when down for the
purpose of making and opening into Dean Street) well come end
your Consideration Pursuit me to state that I comes in the
Value thereof at pound, the Hospital takeg the
materials of mets good the pavement.

you & me likes momery to Mr Chapman the Treasurer of St. Thomas
Hospital who accounts to my Idea of the Payment of the Rents of
the Houses agreed to be purchased by the City of the Hospital, to
the Hospital up to Lady day last, from which Time the City to
