Tho. Treasurer of St. Thomas Hospital rece'd your Letter
of the 5th. instant Acquainsing him that you had Orders from the
Lords of the Mannor of Elsisley to hold a Court for that Manner
on Friday the 21st. instantIf It is to be held merely on Account
of the Death of out late Lord Mayor We must desire to have it
post Pon'd ill after the Holydays For the Life to be filled up
must be approv'd of by this Grand Commee of our Governors
with the Concurrence of those of the London Work house & this
cannot be had before that time Another thing is to
be Consider'd Vizt. perhaps the Governor who shall be agreed
upon to be Admitted to the Estate may not care to be at the
Trouble of a Journey down at this time of the Year In which
Case he must Execute a Letter of Attorney which I shall
desire You to Send meI should also be Glad to know what
the Fine & Fees will be that proper Steps may be taken on
that HeadYou'll please to favour me with a Letter
on this Affair who am
